Lieutenant Rudolph "Rudy" Adams
a.k.a. "Flip-Flop", retired in 2003 after 32 years on the job
and worked in all three houses through his tenor. Rudy worked his way up
the ranks becoming the first African-American Sergeant and the only
African-American Lieutenant in the history of the New York Fire Patrol.
Rudy now resides in Washington, D.C. and is still a die-hard Mets
and Jets fan. Rudy loved his job and misses his NYFP family!
